Hi there, wondering if anyone took advantage of the 30% off (I believe) deal on the discounts page. I received mine about a week ago, and tried it out for the first time this morning to sync and charge (which it says it is possible to do) and the only thing that it would do is charge. Syncing was not even an option. Anybody else have the same problem? Thanks, and this is trying to do both to an X50v.

What are you using to sync? Cradle or sync cable? Have you already installed ActiveSync to your desktop? If so, did you install it while your Axim was NOT connected?

BTW, it would be helpful to use a more descriptive, meaningful title.

I am using the cradle mainly to sync. I already have activesync installed on the laptop and it will sync fine when I am at home on the cradle. I bought the sync and charge cable to take with me when I am on the road, but it looks like it will only charge. I tried turning the backlight all the way down to the second notch from the end, but still nothing. At one point yesterday, it started to say connecting on the X50v, but that went away within a second. Now I do not even get that.

So just to clarify, you are using your cradle at home but sync charger away from home, using the SAME laptop?

Are you able to test the sync charger on a different computer?

Yes, I am using the cradle while home, and plan on using the cable while on the road. I have been using the cradle with the laptop with no problem at all, but the cable will not work. Just tried to use it with the desktop, and it is the same results. Get the charging light, but no active sync.

Then there is probably something wrong with your cable. Can you get a replacment?

That is what I was thinking, I sent a email to the company first thing yesterday morning, still waiting to hear back, hopefully they will work with me. Appreciate the replies, I am just looking for something so I do not have to take the cradle with me on the road.
