Storage Cards

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=7][COLOR=DarkOliveGreen]

I am brand new to the site and will be ordering an Axim X50v in a couple of days. I know this has been discussed B4, but wanted to get an update as of today.
What type of storage card would you recommend for the Axim? I want to do be able to view and process business stuff, Word, Excel, .pdf, and also do PowerPoint presentations. For travelling I would also like to transfer movies to watch on the Axim.

Thanks a Million Out There
Kev

i don't think it really matters, sd or cf. Since you have built-in wi-fi you can really get any kind of memory card you think is best.

Sd for sure is faster, and smaller, but it is more expensive. I like sd memory personally. They also tend to last longer.

If you want to do powerpoint presentations then you're also going to need the VGA out cable kit.

The Bundled software with the kit (Clearvue suite) will allow you to display Powerpoint files but not edit them....so you can prepare your presentation on your desktop and present with your x50V.

If you want to edit your presentation on your x50v then you need to buy pocketslides as well.

And if your going to transfer movies or mp3s to your sd/cf card then spend 10 bucks on a USB2 card reader. It makes the transfer MUCH quicker

But not so much that you're likely to notice it in day to day usage

Alos, remember not to get a card that is TOO big, as it INCREASES the rate of "Tunneling"...
