Re: Bluetooth Mouse - trying to use a non thinkoutside mouse....

Hey guys...
There's an interesting conversation going on over...
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...d=1#post646882

What I've done is used the BT drivers from frogpad: http://www.frogpad.com/Support/default.asp and tried to link them to the thinkoutside BT keyboard. Now, the drivers from frogpad did detect the keyboard, but couldn't connect to it...

What I'm asking out there is if anyone owns a x50v (or any bluetooth capable PDA) and a BT mouse (not the thinkoutside one), to try and install these drivers on to their PDA, and then see if they can connect to their mouse...

Why do I want this?

Well...since I live in Australia, getting the thinkoutside mouse is a very expensive option. Looking at all the PDA sites over in the US, I can get the mouse at about $50 plus at least another +10 shipping. But they don't ship to Australia...the only ones that do make me pay around $30 for shipping. The only place I can get it in Australia is from expansys...and they want around $100 for the mouse (including shipping)...

An interesting idea.

my brother - when he saw my BT mouse wanted to trade me his targus BT mouse (he has the TO keyboard and I have the targus keyboard)and we tried a couple different types of drivers and we didn't succeed.

As far as I understand from people far wiser than I, the only driver on the market at this point is the TO.

If you have results though, I think the entire forum would love to know.

I think I posted that... and I was on the hunt for generic BT HID drivers in hopes to use a Xbox BT gamepad on it. I didn't get that gamepad nor any accesories so I dunno if it works or not but thas the closest BT HiD drivers I can find. The alternative is legally gray and that is modify the TO BT drivers for universal support.
