Features:
Cut-outs for IR port, Record button, hotsync port (as long as you shave your existing connector to make it fit) and speaker. I see a product return in my future and a new Sena case! :approve:
Note that for the X50v at least, you might want to shave the Sena a little bit as well for improved access to the DPad.
Oh great!! so the sena cannot be set on the cradle withou "adjustments" :rolling:
i have the sena case as well and it will fit perfectly in the cradle without any modifications to the case itself so put your mind at ease :)
however, there is another problem with the magnesium case that i am currently discussing with innopocket and that is on the back of the case, there is a center "piece" and a top left piece and top right piece that should sit flush with the center piece. however on my first magnesium case, the top right piece was not flush with the center, in fact there was a rather large gap between the center and the top right piece and by holding the top right piece (with no axim in the case) you could literally flex the metal with little pressure
in any case i wrote ben at innopocket and within a day he had fedexed a new case to me (innopocket's customer service is top notch). I received the second case and to my disappointment, the same problem exists in the same top right piece (on the back) not laying flush with the center, however the replacement case's gap wasn't as large however the flex when holding that area and bending was much more noticeable and easier to accomplish with less pressure than the first case. I wrote ben again and we'll see what happens
by the way, with both magnesium cases, it was difficult to connect the dell cable to the axim (you have to push down on the top of the axim while simultaneously push up with the cable to ensure a firm connection to the axim's bottom connector)
Diesel, thanks for the info on the sena. :)
The issue you mentioned with the magnum did that cause your lid to be crooked to ne side?
My lid is crooked to one side when you lay (not lock) the lid on the case ( i can post pics if anyone is interested to see)
Also who is Ben at Innopocket? I have sent an e-mail and about my issues and I only got a reply that states "Are you using the original connector from Dell?"
I replied back saying yes and have not heard anymore from them, I am considering returning this case as I have stated and buying a Sena, but if they are willing to sne dme a replacement for exchange and as long as the case lid is not crooked and the color is right I might just keep it and deal with the connector, which by the way I plug in with the case closed so pressured on top of the Axim comes from the hinge and I push hard but the connector will not lock and stay on.
Bummer I guess I did get a dud then. where on Innopocket's website can I find Ben's email? Maybe he can help a little quicker, is it info@innopocket.com?
When looking at the front of the case, the right portion of the double hinge - the part that runs from the front of the case to the back - is nearly one-sixteenth of an inch longer than the same piece on the left.
This makes the lid pull to the right at the bottom because the left side meets the hinge pin farther back in comparison on the rear hinge.
how about the original Dell connector? and the lid is it straight? Color ok?
Wile my cable is narrower thant the Dell connector, both work fine. I must admit the the Dell connector is flush on both sides, but it works.
The lid is straight as can be and the color is black all around. I did read something about two tones in a previous message, but I don't remember seeing a picture of a two-tone mag. case. The color is not quite the same on plastic pieces, but that's about it. I believe it's more a matter of light reflection that a different color.
