sounds like the issues with the innopocket case are mounting, sena sounds less problematic.
I have both the sena case and the magnesium case and just to let you all know, i will be keeping the magnesium case (the pros outweigh the cons) and using it as my primary case. As for my sena case (black) i might sell it...
At least it seems ou got to communicate with them, all they asked me was "are you using the orginal cable?" and nothing else.
If that's what they wanted to know, they could have asked. Instead, I get "Can send me a image of your cable too."
Oh, and for the record, my original email stated precisely which cables I was using.
There's no two ways about it. How they treated me was not how, as a customer, I expect to be treated. I'm pretty ambivalent about being told to send the case back, though I would have expected a new one, or to be told it's "by design". What really sealed the deal was not bothering to tell me what UPS account number to use, or what address to send it to. In other words, I was just told:
"Can please use our UPS account send back your case to me, let i can check it".
So to sum up:
- They charge my card at least 3 weeks before they shipped a product
- The product they ship doesn't work with the OEM supplied hardware (I just assumed "Cut-out for hotsync port" meant I could use it with the cable I had)
- When I mention a problem, I'm told to send it back, but not how to send it back, or where.
I'm not a happy customer, and I won't be recommending this outfit.

I finnaly got a good reply after contacting ben, he asked me to send the case back so they could verify that it does indeed have and issue with the connector and to check it against their inventory to make sure all in inventory are as bad, he gave me his UPS account number but guess what UPS does not allow freight collect for international orders and it is going to cost me $47.68 plus $15 surcharge to send it back.
Waiting for another reply from ben on what to do, at least he is willing to help me out and that is great! All I want is a case with a lid that is not crooked, color I now know is all black and I can deal with the connector issue if need be. But the lid is not acceptable.
Ok, Ben has resolved my issue I am going to send back the not so perfect case and he is going to check it out and send me a replacement. :approve:
I am sure this time around it will be a good one.
I have the magnesium case too, and I know theres some strong supporters of the case here. The only problems I have with mine (I still really like it though) is the sync cable to fitting (it attaches, but doesn't go all the way in as it could because the cut out isn't big enough, I can live with that), and the second problem is probably the design of the latch - it'll just wear away with use and become a no-latch.
I mean really if you think about it, for a case to have such "obvious" design issues you would have expected any QA to have picked it up when the case was designed there is seriously a problem there.

to me, it doesn't seem like the latch will wear out in time, however the cutout for the dell branded sync cable is definitely not big enough....or they could have fixed it by reducing some of the thickness on the bottom so that the connector can go in all the way without applying a greater amount of pressure
I ordered my case received it to my surprise one of the tabs on the bottom had broke off, I guest during shipping. I emailed them to let them know how I received my case. They ask for my email address some purchase number and a picture of the broken tab. Sent the picture along with everything they wanted. Received a email back with a fedex tracking number, about a week later a new box arrived with the new case. (I gave the old one to my wife, she took a half inch wide strip of velcro attached two 1/2 inch tabs to the back of the case one on each side of the back of the case. She ran a strip from one of the tabs on the back around the front to the other tab on the back of the case and now it stays shut.) Case Closed! No more flapping.
I want to give PROPS to Innopocket's Magnesium Case for such a fast response.
So I finally got this case. Seems to be OK - of course the bottom slot for Dell sync cable is too small but if needed I will cut Dell connector on the sides. Overall I'm happy so far.
I rememeber the same problem (too small slot) with Rhinoskin case for x3 - they sent me a new one w/o a problem.
