I read through this thread but didn't see anyone mention what the maximum amount can be shaved from the Dell connector before you hit critical parts. I know you need to shave enough to get it to just fit but are we getting close to anything important?

Do you need to remove the Axim from the case to recharge it?
Would it be just as easy to cut some of the bottom of the case away?

i can fit my dell connector cable to the connector on the x50v, but not without some good amount of pressure and force and what worries me is that over time this extra strain on the connection area will damage something. anyone else feel the same?

I did not try to modify the case, but if you want to recharge the Axim without taking it out of the case, may I suggest this .
It will solve at least part of your problem.

my case arrived today from innopocket.
seems that all concerned have been addressed, no button pushing, no magic marker, lid straight, dell connector fits well.
happy so far!

anybody carfe to persuade me to buy the sena already?

If you don't need a extended case I'd consider the Bellagio it has the best leather and craftsmanship of any case on this sight.
I bought a Sena a week ago and the cut out around the LCD has gaps.
Also the leather interferes with the D button. The leather is as thin as paper in some areas. It does fit in the cradel nice and has the extended option. After saying that I'll probably end up buying the Mag case in about 5 minutes to add to the collection

Well, I guess I join the crowd. I ordered my case when it first came out. I did notice all the magic marker cover-ups and mine does the latch issue too. However, I did not do anything until I read all the comments on this when I just recently contacted Ben. He wants me to send the case back to Hong Kong. It's going to cost a min. of $20 (mail w/ tracking #). I asked him for any other options for shipping but no deal :( I keep he-mailing him that I want this issue resolved but now he ignores my calls. I just don't see the great customer service everyone is talking about. They make no effort whatsoever to help me. It is also the last time I order anything from them and from companies in Hong Kong alltogether (eventhough that is going to be hard, since everything is from China). Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Something for me is still not clear. Can the Axim X50v w/ the Magnesium case fit in the sych/charge cradle? the only real thing holding me back from buying it. That and the extended battery issue.

It will NOT fit the cradle when it is in the magnesium case.
