I went to Seidio site (www.seidioonline.com)
and found the microphone adaptor for Dell X50V. This is the adaptor that allows you to do the recording with the external microphone.

My boss (mines still coming) uses his PDA for wireless skype without any extras..

i also would like to use an external microphone. the adapter above is said to work with the axim says the supplier.
there is a long thread on aximsite about it trashing someones axim. there is also some discussion of the axim's poor fidelity in recording off the external mic and weird behavior recognizing the external mic.
let me know if you buy the adapter and how well it works. thanks.

I bought a mic adaptor for my x50v and had no luck getting an external mic to function. I was only able to test a single mic though, since every other microphone I own is xlr. So I'm unsure whether the adapor is defective or the mic itself has malfunctioned. So basically my post doesn't contribute any new info, and is therefore useless.

there is another fuller discussion about this in a different post, but there is another set of adapters from pc-mobile as well.

most of the people who tested it - when it worked - found that the quality was quite poor. People who tested included students and a reporter, if my memory doesn't fail me.

I suppose it will depend on what you get - and if you decide to do it - post here and give results!!!
