adding a serial mouse to x50V
it is seemed that we should better adding a serial mouse (including mouse pointer) to our x50v especially on working under 640x480 with adapted monitor.

I have searched by google and found NONE

shall I start to code a one?

I think that I would start this project if more than 20 people need it.

any idea and comment? please let me know.

I wouldn't get one. The stylus is good enough for me. If I want to use a mouse or Keyboard I use my PC.

Why a serial mouse? a bluetooth mouse is a much better idea

I have a X50v with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard (and phone), and the VGA cable, great for doing presentations/work when needed and teh battery life is good (both think outside devices, but there are plenty of people here who have full size KBD/Mouse working throuigh bluetooth).

Solitaire is a bit freaky on a projector at 640x480 though hehe

I think there is only one BT mouse that is compatable and its the one made by Think Outside..

Just spotted someone else using it

I have the same problem with my mx900. I think this would be a much more popular thing to write

certainly the think outside mouse is compatable, it's made for PPC but i've seen plenty of posts on this site from other people using other BT enabled mouse/kbd's, just search the forums for posts

It's all down to what profiles you have installed/enabled in your BT stack. In it's standard guise the axim BT stack comes with headset support, serial, activesync etc etc but not keyboard or mouse support. In theory some mice use the serial bluetooth profile so may work, although i've not read of any so you'll probably end having to install some update to enable mouse support.

Has anyone here used any other manufacturers BT mouse with the thinkoutside installed stack? (the thinkoutside drivers are available as a download from thier site)

Idd, I should've added an adendum that said check the license agreement for the TO drivers to see if it allows use of it's stack without the purchase of it's hardware

Was just a general query though

Why? I thought 10 (or was it 8) bluetooth connections were allowed at once?
