Did you do the research before ordering? From the various posts here on Aximsite, I'd say all the reviews were pretty accurate.

You'll probably want to look at the Innopocket Magnesium. www.aximcases.com, and they have a 15% discount for Aximste users.

On the Rhinocase?
Try the Mag case....I only got the Rhinocase 'cause that was the only good hard case out when I bought the x50v, the mag case has been one of the best cases I've ever had.

Doesn't the mag's case still pop open when you drop it though? Kinda pointless to have the case POP open and your axim flies out, with no protection.

hmm...i try to make it a point not to drop my axim....am i in the minority here? i think that if you want a case that provides protection when you drop it, you should look at something like this:

http://www.extremepda.com/page/XPDA/PROD/OTTERBOX

heck maybe even something beefier than that.

I don't know how the Magnesium case would let the Axim fly out...after all, it has that additional top piece that would keep the Axim in the case. I suppose if it were dropped, the front cover might open, and then if the Axim continued to spin, the screen might land on the ground...but the Axim would need to be going really fast to acheive that kind of damage...as in, purposely hurled from a moving vehicle or something like that.

I just got my mag case yesterday and looking at it I don't see how it would be possible to have the x50 pop out even if you did drop it and the cover came open. Just doesn't seem very plausible.

with the mag case, even with the flip cover open, the screen wont get hit if it is dropped/thrown/hurled at a flaty surface - it is recessed below the sides of the case. Now if it hit a corner, or perhaps gravel or something, it may suffer damage.

Also, there is no way the axim is coming out of that case easily - it's a VERY snug fit...

If you want a solid case for your X50v check out SmarterCase.

Aximsite users get $5 off each order.

The #146 series case that fit the X5 also works nicely for the X50 and X50v.

They offer a wide variety of colors and the option of an Ultra Clip Belt clip!

I don't think the Rhinoskin case comes with two screws for the belt clip...you could check with their website.

I think, all in all, you'll be happier with the "niftiness" of the Magnesium case by Innopocket. I liked the Rhinoskin a lot...I love the Magnesium case.

Plus, the black just LOOKS better with the X50v...the case FEELS better...and the way it opens over the top is just cool and practical (auto PDA stand). I also like that you can angle the case when it's laying down by leaving the hinge sqaure to the PDA rather than laying it flat. This has some benefits when watching movies, etc. And I like that the lid extends a few inches lower than the body of the PDA when fully flat against the back, as this gives you an alternative place to hold the PDA. It balances nicely in the hand this way.
