BT TO mouse
Hi all.

I have this mouse and ...when it works, it works well

but everyonce in a while I get it so that the mouse isn't recognized despite it all. Then after a period say 2 hours in the same place...it's recognized.

Is there something that I can do to get it work everytime!!!???

thanks

Are you using the most up to date drivers from TO?

yes. I got the axim just 1 week ago and downloaded the driver from the site.

Don't get me wrong: it works, but sometimes it takes some convincing even with new batteries (charge verified with voltimeter) and with full charge of the axim.

What mode are you running the mouse in? Do you enable BT first, then turn on the mouse?

Mine used to give me trouble, but the newest drivers were a big help. I can now run in either safe or enhanced mode. Generally, if I enable BT, then turn on the mouse and click a button, it is connected.

I believe I am running it in enhanced mode. could it be - that by turning on the mouse first would be a cuase for not seeing the the mouse? Last night I turned on the mouse first and then tried to connect (though the BT was already on)

When I was having problems with mine, I realized that I would sometimes enable BT after I had turned on the mouse. Once I started enabling BT before switching on the mouse, I got consistent connection. Frankly, I don't know if that has anything to do with my consistency now, or if I'm merely being superstitious.

Thanks for the input. I'll try your superstition and see if it "works"!

I've found that a quick disable/enable wireless sometimes gets things back on track.

also remember you have to enable all devices to connect under the BT settings because the mouse is not paired otherwise the mouse can't reconnect and you have to enable it each time (axim initiated connection)

The mouse itself initiats a connect on a click event so as long as you have the above enabled, BT was enabled on your axim before the mouse was turned on and you click the button on the mouse, it should reconnect every time.

The mouse has to be started after the axim has BT enabled as it will do a quick discovery, it will only try a connect to visible devices, it does not appear to do a discovery every time it tries to connect, only on start up (when it's first turned on) so will not 'see' the axim if the axim enabled BT after the mouse was turned on.
