I am not impressed with my sound quality from my FM Modulator. I'm going to buy a cassette to mini-din adaptor. I'm pretty sure that's the way to go.

Definitely go with the cassette adapter for sound quality. I have the Belkin (replacing a busted cassette adapter) and for my purposes it's fine -- noisy car with sunroof and crappy standard Subaru audio system. But it's not as good as the cassette adapter was.

I use a cassette adaptor at work for listening to MP3s as the radio/stero thing here doesn't have line in and as long as everything is clean its good, dust seems to make it pop from what I can tell.

I've only used it in my car once and it was good still. Though only stock audio system in my Holden VS Calais so nothing high end.
