Case pictures
I'm trying trying to decide on a case and wondered if any of you could post pictures of your metal cases? I've only seen a "real" picture of the Rhinoskin and I saw one a few days ago in person. It definitely looks to be a quality case. From what I can tell, the PDair and several others are pretty much all identical to one another in the pictures on Aximcases.com and other sites. How does the quality of those compare to the Rhinoskin?

Also, is it convenient to remove the Axim from the Rhinoskin or other case? I have an extended battery, but I'm not sure that I'll be using it frequently. I really need a metal case to protect the Axim when I carry it with my books or work equipment. I figure that as long as it's simple to remove, I could just pop it out and use the extended battery for when I'm traveling or otherwise need the extra power.

Thanks.

I have this link below for the Magnesium case review. This case is what I have and I wouldn't go back to an aluminum case.

Thanks a lot for the link to that case review. That's the kind of information I'm looking for before I buy a case. I've been pretty hesitant to buy one of the Innopocket Magnesium ones because of the posts I've seen on some searches of this forum. Do you have any new thoughts to add after a month of using the case? I'd especially be interested in how easily it can be scratched versus the Rhinoskin and how the latch is holding up?

I have both the Rhinoskin and the PDair.I think the PDair is a notch above the Rhino.Removing the Axim is somewhat easier with the PDair. They are both good cases.

Well, I have both the magnesium and the rhino, so I took both out, and used my car key to scratch them real good. Let me tell you , it was not as easy as I sounds. I had to try a couple of times before doing any real damage to any of them.

Just kidding

Actually, I have had the magnesium for over a month now, and I would not exchange it for any other. The flip cover itself is worth the price of the case. It is great case protection and ease of use in one package. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hardcase.

I have been using the Magnum case for over a month and the attachment are still very strong. I dropped the case a couple of time and it protected the Axim very well. Having the case on my belt or in my pocket while travelling added protection. I scratched it very little even if exposed on my belt. I prefer it to the previous Aluminum case. and would buy another one anytime.

If you get the Pdair for extended battery, you can use it with either the standard battery or the fatboy battery. Both fit nice and snugly.
If you buy a magnesium case check it closely to ensure it hasn't been touched up with a black felt tip pen!

I agree,thats what I have.Works with either battery.
Bye the way,I just measured both case thickness.Thw PDair extended case is only about 1/16 of an inch thicker than the standard Rhino case.

That definitely makes the PDair extended case sound more appealing. Does it feel strange using it when lying flat on a surface with that extended back? It seems that it might be a little wobbly.

Not wobbly at all.It has four little metal feet and it is rock solid. As I said before I purchased the extended case and 1800 battery combo deal for about $46.00 including shipping with the Aximsite 15% discount. The battery also works great.
