Extended battery
Do I have to power up the bigger battery like the regular one for 8 or 10 hrs, even though I haven't used it yet.? I will evenually install it as the regular battery and keep the smaller one as back up. I have the x50v.

Yep. And if your not keeping it in active use give it a recharge every month or so.

Check the packaging. If there is no documentation in there I'd go with 8.

That was the first thing I looked for. There was no info. in that regard. It was wrapped along with the battery compartment door, but no information. This actually came as an extra along with the unit. So maybe that's why there was no more information.
