Seidio G2100S
Hi everyone,
I want a small and thin car kit for my x50v in my car. I looked at the G2100S car kit from Seidio, I like it as there is no speaker and so a lot smaller that the G2500. I always use the x50v internal speaker with Tomtom in my car without problem. It looks really nice but before bying it I want to know if some of you have already buy it and try it?
In two words, I want more detail on that car kit "G2100S".
Thanks,

Alexandre

PS: Question for Seidio:
- do you have bundle (cradle+wired gps) for the G2100S like for the G2500?
- do you have promotional price for aximsite members?

I can't quite answer your quesiton but wanted to include my two cents. I just this morning decided to go ahead and purchase the G2500 mount over the 2100 mount. It wasn't an easy decision and I based it on my needs of 1) GPS and 2) mp3 player. My initial thought was to get the 2100 and then the Arkon Digital FM soundfeeder so my x50v would serve up mp3s to my car stereo. With this solution I figured I wouldn't need to powered speaker on the 2500.

However, I ended up witth the 2500 because it's only $16 more if you get it from Semson vs the 2100 on seidioonline and this way I can have the 2500 power the GPS voice while my stereo is playing CD or radio and I don't have to worry about not hearing the GPS.

So that's what I ended up doing. I'll let you know how it works out once it arrives.

as a side note, my understanding is that the 2100 only comes with the vent mount -- the windshield mount is another $9.99

also, there is no seperate charging port for a bluetooth gps receiver.

so if it's only a cradle that charges, there are also other options like www.gomadic.com

Good catch on the 2100 only having the vent clip. However, it does have a DC out for power, at least the picture at seidioonline includes the dc out.
