Yes, but i want to use my CF - Slot for one of this funny 4GB things. and maybe for a LAN - connection. And maybe for a Camera. I dont like to carry so much CF - Cards with me.
I just take the memory card out of my camera and put it in my Axim when I want to copy stuff. No USB Host needed.

Would it be even possible though, technologically to create a USB host for a x50? I mean, the hotsync port thing on the bottom connects to a USB sooner or later, why not the inverse? Shouldnt Dell be able to create something like this rather easily?
I'm sure if it was that easy.. someone would have done it by now.
Wireless USB is going to be one of the hot technologies at the end of next year though

Psionandy I don't see why you think Wireless USB will be so great. The PXA 270 already supports USB host, it just isn't connected up right. Even if we get a PDA with wireless USB there will still be the same problems with drivers - it's not a problem getting a device physically connected to a PDA, its just getting drivers to work with it, and I see no way in which wireless USB could help, unlike bluetooth and its 'services' which is one of the best ideas I have seen - all mice/phones/gps/headset work fine with one driver each. If only they could speed up the data rate..

No, I think you are right. I'm not getting excited about it at all.
It's just that there seems to be a bit of a buzz going about it in the electronics world and it does seem the sort of thing that will end up in mobile devices.
