I like the Belkin 3-in-1. It's well made and also sold by Dell which means it won't void your warranty if there was a problem with it.

If you buy from Belkin.com, I think there's a 50% off coupon code of: 12345. (If that's not the code, search Aximsite's forums as it was posted recently.)

Belkin's site isn't the best. Here's the link: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...ct_Id=1 91833

Might also want to check the Dell site, sometimes they have a better price (or, comparable) with a discount and free shipping.

By the way, I use it for my X50v and it works great. (I had a couple of BoxWave minisync's and another Belkin for my X3i, and while the BoxWave was much smaller, the Belkin was the one I preferred--until I sold it to someone on this board.)

I ordered the lil' synch and the unit itself didn't work. I wrote to the company. It took some time for them to get back to me since they were changing addresses, but they sent me a new unit without me sending the other one back.

The rest of their products that I have work as advertised....

if you'd like to take that into account

Looks like the cable is sold out unfortunately...

I've checked the dell.ca website since I'm in Canada and it's too expensive to order from there IMO. I wanted to order from www.belkin.com since they have a promotion running where you can get 50% off all their products if you use coupon code 12345.

Javo Edge makes a nice retractable cable that charges and syncs at the same time.

I bought a BoxWave from SoftPocket. I have had no problems with it. It looks delicate, but that's always the case with the retractables. Also, it does not charge while syncing, which I recall being a good thing (there was a thread about someone blowing their motherboard or something like that).

I can't compare it to any others.

I found this while looking for advice on how to use the sync cable and sync connector included by Dell with the x50V. The sync cable's USB end (actually a T to allow another USB device to be attached at the same time instead of the single USB connector as shown in the manual) is clear, and the other end's small connector looks a lot like a 3.5mm jack for a headphone set. The problem is that the manual on page 28 shows the sync connector inserted into the Axim and the large female end of that connector (for power) is apparently detached somehow and set to the side when the sync cable is then inserted into the end of the sync cable connector. It is not at all clear to me how to detach that AC adapter female plug from the sync connector, since unscrewing or simply pulling it apart will take more force than seems reasonable to apply. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Beyond that maybe the underlying question is: Is the problem I'm having a big part of the reason for the popularity of the 3rd party products discussed here? And I checked the Belkin catalog link just now, 6/18 and they still are out of stock. Thanks - Charlie
