Is There a Scanner - Police-Nascar - CF/SD
I was curious if anyone had found a card and uses the X50v as a scanner for police -fire - or in particular nascar.

I didn't know if there might be a CF or SD card that could be used to get the functionality out of the PPC. I am heading to a race later this year and want to get the team communications.

Any info would be appreciated.

Haven't seen one, but doesn't mean one doesn't exist. At the race track find a Racing Radios kiosk. They'll rent/sell a set of noise attenuating earphones, a scanner, help in setting it up to whatever teams/race control you want to listen to, and the frequency guide for what teams/race control are on what channels. Its not too expensive for the weekend. Have fun at the races.

there have been some expensive specialized cards i have seen in the past (forget the names now) but all where not cheap and also did not have a friendly interface (mostly for developers in specialized applications)

renting a radio is probably your best bet

Yeah, I think renting will be the better idea, not just because I was the one that suggested it, but because if the race goes long for a red/lots of yellow flags you could go through a couple of batteries probably trying to keep the Axim up and running through a four hundred mile race.
