I was looking at buying a case for my spanking new x50v and since I have owned a x5 with a Sena case and a x30 with a Piel Frama case I thought I would try out the Vaja this time.

My question stems from the color scheme that you can get with the Vaja case. I read in another thread here that a guy recieved a Vaja case that really didn't look like the one he ordered. The Pantone color chart shown here really doesn't match any of the colors that are on Vaja's web page, or at least the ones I looked at don't.

Does anyone have experience with this in regards to some of the more colorful cases? I'm looking at this one:


The Grasshopper is way off on the chart or maybe I'm just reading it wrong. What do the first 2 digits in the color code mean?

They really don't mean much...it's the last 4 numbers that tell you what table they are from. To get a PMS color on leather is next to impossible, PMS colors are for printing on paper(or related materials) they base color of the leather influences the outer color it's being dyed too. Sometimes you just have to order something and hope for the best.

the colors expressed on their pictures on their site are very close to actual (minus variations in leather)

I have 3 cases from vaja and all the colors are very close to those shown on the site...

Did you get the extra padding in your cases? I'm wondering what to do with that. I want a slim case and I was thinking about getting it without the foam to make it slimmer.
