Which accessories are essential?
I've seen the list of essential software & tweaks.
What hardware add-ons are essential?

At a bare minimum I'm thinking case, USB cable, and a memory card or two.

Is there any reason to prefer 2 smaller memory cards vs 1 big one?

My X50v arrived at home today. I can't wait to get home this evening!

1)Case
2)screen protector
3)flash memory - i'd go for a large one over 2 smaller ones

Screen protector (Boxwave, JavoEdge, or Brando), memory card, and a case. But I am still using my slip case.

Hi darus,

Check our our product line for the Axim X50: http://www.boxwave.com/products/easy...im-x50_462.htm

We offer 3 unique cases along with 2 different ClearTouch screen protectors -each offering its own list of characteristics and benefits.

I personally started out with a ClearTouch and Armor Case but soon realized that it's kind of fun spoiling my handheld

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about any of these products.

Cheers,
Cho

A good case is a definate "must have". Before that, I would go for a screen protector - don't want to damage that beautiful display.

As for additional memory, I personally prefer a larger card to two or more smaller cards. I hate swapping out cards.

Things that are nice to have but not vital - for me anyway:

A replacement stylus. PDA Panache has some great ones, not for the X50V yet, but I am hoping.

A retractable sync cable so I don't have to keep my cradle out.

A car charger so I don't have to worry about killing my battery.

Extended battery

Must haves for me -

(1) Real stylus with a pen and stylus tip like an Avery Double Click. PPC makers try to save too much space with that little straw-like stick. Give it up and get something usefull.

(2) Hard case - aluminum Rhinoskin. Dell's default case suks.

(3) Car charger - bought the charging tip from Dell and use a Playstaion portable car charger. I also use it with a 120AC to 12VDC adapter from radio shack for inside charging as well.

(4) Good backup program - Sprite Backup

(5) SD of CF - for programs, files, etc.

(6) Sync cable - have not been in the mood to spend megabucks on this, but it would be nice. Found one on e-pray ($8), didn't work, sent it back, got another but have not tried it yet. First one gave an error that I was pulling to much power from my laptop usb port.

(7) AximSite
