There's an animated .gif on some site showing the features but I'm pretty sure they've shown up in Brick and Mortar stores as well as online so you'll probably get a chance to hold one before you buy it. I know for sure their flashlight products are in retail stores. I saw a really wild mini-mag flashlight stand at Renisancce(sp?) Hardware a few years back.

Good stylus discipline FreakTrap. I've used pens on mine in a crunch.

If you can keep ypur screen and stylus free of grit scratches need not develop. I personally am talking about dots. An entirely different phenomenon.

So you are talking about dents not scratches. That makes sense. I can imagine how hitting the same spots with the stylus over and over such as when using the virtual keyboard (or any surface) can wear out a screen rather rapidly.

While checking for Nite Ize details and reviews I saw this Nite Ize iPocket Bungee. LOL. Having a PDA on a short lasso will protect it against drops, of course. At the same time it will be slung at table corners, door frames and many more immovable objects. Swwiinggg -- splat!

How useful is the PDA Holster's stand feature? It seems that in order to use it the PDA needs to be taken out of the holster and strapped on.

NO WAY!!!! DON"T DO IT!!!!!

I use screen protectors. I find it intersting when I change my protector (not that often I must go a few months between changes and I am a 'frequent' user of my Axim) my screen looks great.

Anyway, the other day I took the screen protector off and looked at it at an angle. It was amazing to see the nicks and bites my stylus put in the protector.

So, when I looked at my screen (figuring my screen must have gotten some dings) I found the Axim X 30 screen was PERFECT. The dins & pings on the screen protector did not penetrate to the Axim screen.

There in no profit in not investing in screen protector.

Protectors are not overly expensive but a screen repair, if possible, will set you back way more than the cummulative cost you will have with screen protectors (not to mention the negative cash flow considerations v. amortazion of protectors over time)

USE SCREEN PROTECTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so disappointd with the dell covers I took it off once to watch movies and never put it back on. Result- The stylus developed a burr and scratched the screen at the the ok,scroll, and transcriber part. I can feel them and see them in strong light or when off. I have learned to live with it and being more carefull now.

I think Dell Protector are the same as Belkin. I bouth some 1 year ago and was very desapointed. It was the worst 20$ I have spend in my life. I contacted Belkin and after 2 or 3 e-mail, they refounded me.

Now I know 12 protector for 20$ is bullshit, I will order a Boxwave at 11$ each (which look much better)

I used a generic protector when I first got my X50v. It was horrible.. with bubbles and a blurry look to it. I then got the Boxwave Crystal protector.. and its beautiful. I can't even tell that it's there. Easy to write on too. The only issue with it is that you need slightly more pressure for your stylus to register.

Depends on how much you're willing to pay for them. WriteeSHIELD's, Brando and Boxwave protectors are not inexpensive.

Use whatever mfg. you want to use but use it. To those who won't: Would you drive without your seatbelt on? The little inconvience of a protector sure beats buying a new screen!
