So what case is runner up?

1) I would like a flip top case.
2) Metal and nothing else
3) from reading on here the Magnum case is a tight fit for the X50 and allows case/PPC to fit in a pocket nicely, which is what I want.


SO what case should I look for?

There are no other flip-top metal case. Sorry. Plenty of side-hinged, though.

If you're from the UK, I would order from Proporta UK. Less distance to travel if anything goes wrong! My first case from them had a misaligned rear bracket. Didn't affect the fuctionality, just the aesthetics. The nice girl at Proporta sent me a replacement first class the same day, and I just had to put "return to sender" on the original jiffy bag + case to get it back to them, so no postage cost! Got the case next day, now that's what I call customer service!

BTW, they originally quote in dollars on their site, so I'm guessing they are a US company or have a US branch. Never checked.

yeah.. 10% is all your going to get off the Mag case. I've just checked and they are out of stock at the moment (not suprising seeing as everyone is out of stock of them). They will send you a free neoprene case though while you wait. The neoprene isn't a bad case actually. I've got one (from an earlier free deal). The downside is you don't get to pick your colour , but at lease I'll neve lose it in its dayglo case

Yes, you're right, the mag case is slickier than the slickest thing on a slick night in Slicksville!
