the ultracool, yet frustrating virtual keyboard
Has anyone had any experience with the VKB from iTech. The model I have is Bluetooth connected yet I can't seem to get my BT wizard to connect with it (it says no useful service found). Any ideas? The instructions from the manufacturer are vague at best.

I have it, works fine for me,

You need to first pair it (go to pairing)

Type in a passcode, then go on the keyboard and type in that passcode you typed on the PPC followed by enter

after it is paired, then use the VKB software

i managed to get it working like this:

- install th drivers from itech. the name of the file is
WinCEVKBApp2003_V40H.ARM.CAB

the following could be unnecessary i don't know. maybe someone else can verify it.

- as the application kept saying that it couldn't find a serial port the first time i installed it and tried it out the the keyboard, i made some adjustments by going to "Bluetooth Settings"
- click on Services tab
- look for the serial port service and enable it. switch off the passkey and authorization requirement

once the serial port issue is settled or ignored,

- do not have your axim search for service. it won't find any.
- perform the pairing process by starting Bluetooth Manager
- click on "Tools"
- click on "Paired Devices"
- now go ahead and pair them.

once you are done, you can start the VKB application.

- make sure "Enable Keyboard" is OFF.
- change the connection from Serial to Bluetooth
- now enable the keyboard

that should do.

my x50v is on a04 rom in case you need a comparison.
