Best Screen Protector?
Hello everyone,

I'am sorta new to the world of PDAs so I was wondering if you guys could help me out . I'am looking to buy a really good screen protector that is really good quality( being clear/doesn't leave residue when i remove the protector). I looked at a couple of retail sites that specialize in screen protectors, and was wondering if you guys would maybe recommend any of them?

http://www.boxwave.com/products/clea...m-x50v_446.htm

http://www.pda-now.com/p900526.php

Any advice is really appreciated, thanks.

I LOVE my boxwave crystal. It's durable, easy to clean, and no artifacting like some of the others I have had.

I just started using Screenguardz and I'm very impressed with them. You get 15 protectors for about $12.00.Thet are crystal clear and use static cling to hold. They seem to be very good quality.

I'm using Brando ultra clear. Fits very good, strong but with good sensitivity. Also, it fixed problem with "squishy" screen which I had - right now screen feels really tight.

It took 10 days for delivery to US.

Are they re-usable/washable? (although for that price, it wouldn't really matter)

Well, I think you'll be dissappointed with the boxwave. I have nothing against them but here's some of what I experienced.
Here are the screen protectors I've used. The crazier ones are what I could find because nothing else was available and the places were very dusty.

Copy laminate. Cut to fit. Cheap, scratchy, not durable

Clear badge protector. Cut to fit, clear, easily scratched.

Incipio. Cheap, not clear

Nu-shield. slides around on screen, but durable

Boxwave, edges do not attach to screen and lift up. On my two boxwaves the edges lifted and stayed that way for about 3 weeks. It drove me crazy. I would massage the edges with my stylus but they never settled.

Brando. No problems. Used steamy bathroom technique. Have had one on for over 4 months with no issues. Brando clear.

Get the Brando

I'm using the Screenguardz as of last week, was using the boxwave cristal before. I really love the extra screen sensitivity that you get back with the screenguardz. you can read my post here scroll down to post 19. you can also read another review here. For the price, clarity, sensitivity, I feel this is a great product.

The only problem I had with boxwave is sometimes the corner is not completely attached to the screen. Since it's reusable, I used 3M scotch tape to take some lint out as well as add additional attachement. And then my screen looks and feels wonderful. Just make sure if you plan to use your axim outside, get an anti-glare one. I've used crystal and any-glare both.

Take a piece of scotch tape and stick it to the corner of the screen protector and slowely pull up.

Ordered Screenguardz on-line (www.screenguardz.com) on a Saturday; received the little package in the mail on Monday. They make the Axim screen seem not quite as slick, but the difference is very small.

Ditto on the Boxwave Crystal defects. The material is definately crystal clear, strong, scratch resistant and easy to pull up, but the thickness really desensitizes the screen, smaller size makes it trickier to install (20 mins in steamy bathroom), and the corners lift up due to its rigidness. I have a Brando Ultraclear at home I need to install when I get the time, it's definately thinner and supposedly a slightly larger fit, so it should clear up the issues I was having with Boxwave. As far as anti-glare goes, I believe Boxwave has the competition beat there.
