The logitech bluetooth headphones do not have a model number but simply the wireless headphones for MP3. They work as described above and have reconnedted several times without problems.
Latest use was in a gym approximately 10-20 ft away from ax, again no skipping.
As has been said, the only skips that I have noticed are other programs are accessing the machine.
There's something I don't understand about these headphones. Apparently, the A2DP and headset profile cannot work on the axim at the same time due to memory issues with the bluetooth stack. But is it possible for you to just run A2DP with your axim and have your phone connect to your headphones when a call comes through? I'm about to take the plunge on these headphones because they're $75 on expansys usa right now, but I want to clear this issue up first.
Basically, if you weren't using your axim as a phone, you wouldn't need the headset profile right?

I don't know because I have not tried to use them with my cellphone, as I already have a headset. The softphones that I have used work with the internal speaker therefore the audio has come through the stereo headphones whether BT or wired, whichever were attached.
I do not think these headphones support the headset profile. It is not mentioned in any of their literature. I also think it can only be paired with one device at a time, but again I'm not sure.
Finally, these are not identical to the logitech for ipod or the hp headphones as they do not have track cotrol buttons, so even with the AV profile you can not control the stop, start and tracks on the player.
There seem to be more products surfacing every day, so look around and good luck.
charged up headphones
turned on bluetooth on ax
turned on the headphones
pressed the discover button on the headphones and waited until the red led flashed. (crucial to knowing when the headphones were in discovery)
On the ax looked at BT settings
with the red led on the phones, you should see the profile as available on the ax.
you will need to pair the devices. the pairing code that worked for me is 0000.
Thanks for all the info DeeCee52. I just received the same Logitech headphones that you are using, so your steps were very helpful. Since the device comes with a dongle, I also use it as my home theator headphones.
The sound is great from the pocket PC, but I occasionally hear some cracking. It could just be my songs. I have to test it some more.

Is there any other headsets that have these features to? To mute music when a call comes in etc?
I just put an order for a couple of HT820. Seemed cheap to. about 750sek with shipping wich is about 90$.
Hope it makes me happy. I wanted it mainly to use for Skype at home, the pda and mobile combo when I'm out.

Search for bt headphones and read thru all the threads. There are references to several different sets that have a mic and might work. The references are scattered over several threads.

I did a lot of research on this before buying BT headphones and I must say that the Motorola HT820s are the right choice for anyone who wants to listen to music on their axim and also take voice calls form a Mobile Phone...
They worked straight out of the box (after charging) with the 1.6 build 600 bluetooth stack, Both A2DP and AVRCP on TCPMP - I didn't need the HP patch for some reason...
They look lovely - we all love blue LEDs, let's face it! They are perfectly shaped and comfortable. The Audio quality is amazing! I wasn't expecting miracles in terms of quality but I was impressed, I can now use the Graphic Equalizer in TCPMP with no distortion.
Mobile Phone control couldn't be easier either, with a voice tag enabled phone you needn't even take your phone out of your pocket...
Overall, I can't find fault but so far I haven't used them much. I'll update of I find any problems.
Great price too - UK buyers, check out www.blueunplugged.com - £50 inc vat and delivery.
I got mine in local Kuwait store, cost 21kD ($73)
sound is good, it has a lot of bass, more than I expected, but the mid is kind of hollow
it work well with X51v and MDA, it seldom has skip, generally I like it so far

I have the Motorola HT 820s. I got them last June. Here in the states, you can get them on Amazon.com, Radio Shack and a few other retailers. The cost me about $80 on Amazon. I have seen them cheaper on ebay, but I have a hard time with stuff like this one ebay, especially when the seller is in Hong Kong and charges $25 shipping.
Bottom line: After a little difficulty getting them setup, I love them. They sync great with my Axim x50v, (I use TCPMP as a music player). They also sync to my Verizon RAZR v3m cell phone. The only problem I have had with them is if I am listening to music and a call comes in, I can switch to the call, but I cannot easily switch back to the Axim (usually I end up reconnecting teh Axim to the headphones).
Battery life is fantastic. I can usually go two weeks or more without charging. I use them every day on the train ride to work.
Oh, I am running WM 2003SE, so I went to the HP web site and downloaded the BT update with A2DP drivers. I don't have the link, but I know it is in numerous threads around Aximsite.
warning:
there're some "b" products floating around ebay
some hofoers got hit of this
original: seldom skip (with X51v, MDA)
B product: skips every 15-30 secs
