Belkin 3-in-1 Sync/Charger cable
I ordered one of these over the dell website. I figured it would give me a second chargers as well as sync cable for use at home and during my travels.

What a piece of junk! Darn think syncs correctly like once out of every 20 times I use it. It seems to fit really badly too. Give it a pass!

Oh, btw, I called Dell to complain. Dell refunded the full purchase price - no questions asked - and told me to keep the cable at no charge.

it does seem that Dell is aware of the issues associated with the charges/sync cables - i guess that is why "no questions asked"

---

actually, there are threads going on on those sync/charge cables - you might wanna check

Now, I read all those forums (rather, skimmed them...so much reading ), and it seems as though the problem is in the recharge aspect of the cables.

Do the cables perform adequately as a portable sync cable? I'm going to be moving around a lot with my device, helping people with computer problems, and if I ever download a file via WiFi and need to get it on to someone's computer, will the cable do its job?

I care more about the cable's function in regards to syncing data than I do with its charging abilities.

One more question that popped up as I typed this: has anyone had a problem using the wall outlet adaptor that comes with the Belkin Travel kit?

I am returning mine to Belkin because the wall plug part was DOA (they are replacing it). I had previously got their DC/synch combo. It works fine.
