Carrying Case for X50V
I just bought a X50v and wanted to know which the best case as iin for price and utility for it. I want a case that flips open unlike the one they give or I don't have to keep sticking the PDA in and out of the case. Please let me know if u have any recommendation of what to buy and where to buy it from. Thanks.

I'd recommend www.innopocket.com for a metal/magnesium case or www.n-signia.com for leather cases ...

Welcome to AximSite!

Thanks Dad those cases are nice but I am looking for something a little cheaper. like less than $30 price range. Any idea where I can get a flip case which at most need to hold an extra battery.

have a look at www.aximcases.com - they have a whole range there, and you get a discount (there's a discount thread somewhere) as an aximsite member.

I don't think any case will have the room to hold a spare battery tho' ...

The cases at www.aximcases.com site are good just a general question for anyone do most cases fit into the cradle w/o removing them or do only certain cases work in this manner. Thanks

Most cases have to be removed before you can use the cradle

Most cases do not allow cradle use. In fact, I can only think of two off hand that do: Sena and Bellagio. I have the Sena and I just love it. It is not the top of the line case (like Vaja or Piel Frama), but it is very attractive and does a good job.

Moved to Accessories.

If you are looking for an aluminum case that attaches to your belt, I have the PDair one that is made for the 2200mAh extended battery. The construction is similar to the Rhino case. This case is listed in the aximcases section.

You might check eBay. I just purchased the Piel Frama case for the extended battery for $23 plus shipping. I have had Sena in the past but I couldn't turn down this case at this price.

By the way, the reviews on this case give it a black eye in that the reset button is not accessible without taking the unit out of the case. I solved this problem by using a program button for reset; problem solved.

I saw it on the PocketPCThoughts I believe. You might search this site as well. It was an excellent comparison, hard vs leather type cases.

I have the Rhinoskin and currently have the same problem. The thing is I did what you said, but sometimes I totally freeze where it won't even recognize the button push or software selection and I have to go through the ordeal of taking it out of the case and resetting it and replacing it. It is inconvenient and I will be having the hole drilled out next weekend by my boyfriend.
