I went to this website hoping to find some answers on how to fix the problems I was having with my Trendnet CF Ethernet Card. I couldn't really find the right info and Trendnet couldn't even give me any answers that were helpful. So I thought I'd help out some folks here who may face the same problems I did.
Problems:
1)Couldn't upload the Trendnet driver
2)Couldn't connect to the internet via HomePortal
Fix:
1)Did a hard reset on my axim and then installed the driver.
2)Connected my HomePortal to a Switch and connected the Switch to the Trendnet Card. Hopefully I won't have to this when I'm at a hotel
If reasonable for you, buy a wireless ethernet router. I didn't, because the Trendnet Card was more affordable and easier to travel with. Unfortunately the wireless router does require use of an AC adapter, which could make my luggage heavier (strict baggage weight when traveling in Europe).
