I use a standard Arkon Universal PDA vent mount. It's cheap and works fine with my IPaq 2215. The mount also adjusts width-wise to work with my Axim X50v, iRiver mp3 player, and just about any other gadget that comes along.

and many, many more ---- do a search in these forums for any of those brand names and you will get DOZENS of opinions on why their choice is the best.

Questions you will need to answer for yourself --
Powered or non-powered?
Speaker?
GPS?
PDA only?
vent mount, surface mount, or windshield mount?

there are several very good products out there but it seems that the majority of folks are buying the Arkon or Seidio. I am within days of purchasing a mount and i keep going back to the proclip as being the one for me.

Belkin
The Belkin set up for a cup holder works great for me.

I just bought the Seidio G2500 after reading just about every post, article available on the subject ...

It was the style that did it for me. Also I don't plan on changing the X50v for some time so I don't really care that the GS2500 is specific to my model.

Now I am delving into the murky world of the GPS Bluetooth receivers of which the choice increases manyfold ...

I have used this and it worked very nicely. Unfortunatly, it wouldn't fit in my car (I have a wierd cup holder design) but fit other cars I tried very well.

I personally use a Pro Clip mount and it works very well.

Pros:
-Not on windshield-out of the way, and in some states windshield mounts are illegal (view obstruction)
-Integrates well into car. Fits between dashboard panels very snugly and without damaging your vehicle. As good as screwing it into the dashboard but without the holes. Vent and suction mounts can occasionally fall off
-Designed specifically for your car and device. 1 part for car, 1 for your Axim. See the site for details
-Tilts and rotates, ability to adjust angle and even set to landscape mode*
-All buttons and ports fully accessible
Cons:
-Fixed location, many vehicles will only have one mounting location available (but it is a good location)
-No powered version at this time, but you can hook up power to it
-Landscape mode is generally not very safe for your device unless you modify it a bit
-Kinda pricey (~$70)

They do deliver via DHL too, which is extremely quick due to their low package load (all 3 times I have had DHL shipping, delivery was overnight at their standard rate)

I use the vent mount for iPod for my X50v. Works very good and get it from Best Buy for less than 10 dollars.

Hey guys. Newer Axim member here. I actually resell for ProClip since I started designing holsters for them when I got my i500 awhile ago. I can save you 12% on the ProClip accessories for your Axim and car. So I can offer anyone here that discount. Just drop me an email at crogs571@yahoo.com.

I can pretty much get you the tilt swivel holder and dash mount for your specific car for $64.10. That saves you $9.30 over buying it from them (assuming that most car mounts are going for $29.95 and the dell holder goes for $34.95 with ground shipping at $8.50.)

and the first person that shows me a one touch solution for toggling screen orientation saves an extra $5. My zodiac spoiled me there.

I modified a bit the Proclip "width-adjustable" mount (no longer on the market ), so I can leave my Sena case and still be able to put my X50v to the mount. I hope you can ask Brondit to bring it back to the market...

As far as toggling screen orientation with 1 tap, you can use Wisbar Advance here: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/index.html

You could just assign one of your hardware buttons to switch between lanscape and portrait, left and right.

Press start> settings and in the personal tab tap on buttons and select the one that most fits your needs.

If you know the catalog number of that adjustable holder from ProClip let me know what it is. I will definitely put in an effort to bring it back to market. Makes sense to me since I know mine will sit in it's magnesium case for the most part.

In regards to the orientation, I had someone in another thread tell me to route the <rotate screen> to my record button. That much I knew I could do, but for the life of me I couldn't find the stupid function that was associated with orientation. For some reason that function eluded me. Very simple now.

How do I go about offering my discount to all Aximsite members? I tried to post in the discount section, but it wouldn't let me.

PM chris about that and you would have to clear it with proclip too for him to allow it I would think.
