I'm stressed!
So many options....

So I figured I'd hang around the fountain and see what your opinions are....

I was given a X50V at work - Nice present for beating the sh!t out of my sales target by 400-500%

here's my stress.

I have a 2005 Jetta... I can hook my Axim to the aux on my alpine deck through 3.5mm jack.. Sounds pretty good.

I want a holder... I've checked Arkron and Seidio both look awesome. Yet I would like a custom mount that I can put on the side of my console rather than stick to the window. Then I saw the PDair case and window mount. looks as the case clips on the mount... which is neat as I don't have to take the case off everytime I get in the car.

Storage - dell.com has the 6GB Microdrive for $265 with a $30 rebate and I have a $35 rebate for orders over $300. (was going to by the car power adapter and screen protectors to get the total over $300. Then I thought - wholly crap. I'm spending a crapload of cash on 6GB. I can get a 300GB drive for less. Yet when I look at the price of a 1GB card... by the time I buy 3 or 4 I'm better biting the bullet and buying 1 6GB Microdrive...

Then I need a case - I had a pixa frama case in another life - but thinking more of a Sena case for my X50V. I've seen the rinostyle metal cases... I'm in an office all day.. so I'm not really needing all that protection.....

Battery, 2200uah... I was on cases.com and they have 2 batteries one for $37 and a Mugen for $47. Is there really that much difference in the batteries or am I paying $10 for the Mugen name - Then I've read that Mugen is making a bigger battery????

Finally, I can't get overything from 1 site and I have to ship to Canada - I don't usually cross boarder buy.........

Insights from you guys would be awesome....

I think I may have your mount solved: http://www.proclipusa.com

6GB Microdrive is a good deal. Go for it. However I would get a 256-512mb SD to install apps to. The microdrive has to spin up to access things, so it takes longer and eats battery life. It's execellent for music and movies though.

Screen protectors-DO NOT BUY DELL's!! Get a Brando Ultra Clear for crystal clear protection or Boxwave's Anti-Glare for anti-glare issues. Boxwave is http://www.boxwave.com and brando is http://shop.brando.com.hk/ultraclearscreenprotector.php Note that each has a clear and antiglare, but I have found the boxwave clear to be a pain in the rear, and the boxwave anti glare gets better reviews than brando.

Case-Sena is great, if you do decide to carry your Axim everywhere and want a hard case, Innopocket's magnesium case gives excellent protection (better than aluminum IMHO) and looks better.

Mugen is an excellent battery and prolly worth the 10 bucks. Note that expanded capacity 2200mah will make it difficult to find mounts and cases that work, I prefer to carry a spare if I feel I may need it. Just keep wifi off and brightness down.
As for larger capacity, I havent heard of one, but they are making a 1800mah one that is extremely slim (still bigger than standard) and will fit in most cases and mounts. May wanna hold out for that.

As far as shipping, Innopocket and Brando are both based out of HK so it's international regardless, and shipping was quite speedy and should be no problem. Proclip uses DHL in the US, not sure about canada, but DHL is awesome if they do.

why get a 6gb microdrive when you can get a 20gb Dell Dj for less than that.

He can use the Microdrive with his Axim, can't use the Dell DJ to my knowledge because the Axim doesn't have USB Host. Not to mention the card is more conveinent.

And he wants to watch movies. Why carry 2 devices when you can have just one?

exactly, I can have an all-in-one device.

Can do movies, videos, I can present powerpoint on it with Mobile 2005 as it has ppt built in and I can get the VGA cable - or I could run a video on the screen... (Wonder what that would look like)

I do a lot of training and it would be great to have my materials on my PPC....
