Watch Axim video on a TV screen?

Is there an accessory that will let me view TCPMP (Betaplayer) video on a regular TV screen?

I would think the VGA out cable (assuming you have an x50v) coupled with a VGA->video scan converter would work. Decent ones are $100+, so this is not a cheap solution.

When you use the VGA out cable you can not play video smoothly in Betaplayer. The mirror mode (used to send video out) uses too much performance, so the video is glitchy (but you can see it )

Grentz, thanks for the heads-up. That's the kind of thing you'd hate to discover after buying something.

I thought I read somewhere that by turning off the Axim display and only displaying the video out, it would resume smooth operation?

Yup. It seems hardly anyone bothers to read what's displayed in the Mirror control panel itself.

Quoted directly from the Mirror app:
"Note: Enabling mirror mode may degrade system performance, including while playing video or 3D games.

To improve system performance, you can hold the Power button and press [the] Record button to turn off the touchscreen. Press the same button combination again to turn on the touchscreen."
