help: voltage question

I am leaving tomorrow for a trip and can only find an ipaq charger. I know there are lots of discussions about AC adapters, but I wouldn't know an amp if I stepped on one.

So, can someone please tell me if I can use this for the x50v:
Input 100-240v ~0.4A 50-60Hz LPS
Output 5V=2A

It doesn't have to be excellent, just not fry the axim while I'm away. The little adapter piece that came with the axim fits the AC cable at the yellow end (if that means anything). Thanks.

5V 2A is fine for the axim, as long as the plug has the same polarity (centre positive).

That is the correct voltage and current for the Axim. As long as the polarity is correct, should be no problem.

The iPaq and Dell chargers are interchangable (same polarity, same tip size and as you know, nearly the same volts/amps).

hum... no idea what that means. The plug itself is a standard looking 2 prong plug--looks pretty generic to me.

On the back of the adapter, after the imput info there's are 3 connected circles kinda like this: 0-0-0
the first one has a + sign in it, the second hasa solid little circle in it, and the 3rd a - sign in it.

I meant the DC barrel plug. The 3 circles you described means the polarity is centre positive. So, the adapter is fine for use with the axim. Rest assured and charge to your heart's content. :-)

looks like it works. im in the same boat but i left mine in iraq next to my bunk. and here i am in italy on vacation. i have the adapter but i forgot the transformer. i found a multivoltage transformer. sounds like if i set it for center positive, it should be good.
