Will palm screen protectors work?
I don't have access to online purchases. So, with that, at my local compustore, they have Palm Tungsten 5,3, Zire screen protectors.

Anyone try them on a Dell Axim50v? I know that my screen is 3.7, will it fit?

Try to find one thats bigger then the screen and cut it down. The bummer part - the only good screen protectors (that I know of) are online. Anything is better then nothing though.

I use ipaq ones. What I did was trace out my screen then cut it out onto a sheet of paper and drop it on every ppc you see in the store until you find a matching one. The X5 had one the same size as a toshiba I think. The x50 I still use Ipaq ones.

I have been using some left over from my Tungsten T on my X50v. They are 1-2 mm longer and narrower than the screen but, when applied with care, they work well enough for me.

Some people have been using the Palm screen protectors at work. No problems at all.

btw those screen protector at big store are very bad.
I have lost over 40$ of trying those cheap Palm "universal" screen protector. (Belkin and others brand I can't remember)

I would personally go with no protector if I couldn't get something nice like Brando/Boxwave/Writeshield.

The Concept Kitchen "Write Rights" that CompUSA and other stores carry and complete junk when compared to a BoxWave/Brando/etc protector. They feel like you're dragging your stylus through a layer of sticky grease. I've used them on my (now retired) Palm PDAs.
