Gomadic site says this phone(Sanyo 4920) doesn't support serial communication.

YMMV but I found the quality of the supplynet cables to be low. I ordered one to connect my startac to my last PDA (a Toshiba/Audiovox Maestro). Darn cable fell apart in a few months.
