Is the Audio-Mate Bluetooth Stereo Headset any good?
Geeks is selling the Audio-Mate Bluetooth Stereo Headset. I don't know if it's a good price or if it is even a good quality BT headset. Supposedly, it has a built-in mic as the ad says you can use it with a BT cellphone to receive calls. Uses BT 1.2 http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...05-_-naproduct
So, has anyone had any experience with this product or read any reviews they can point me to? Is $80US a good price for this? It uses 2xAA batteries, so at least you don't need to find a charger if the batteries run low, but then I don't know how long they (really) last - manufacturer says 6Hrs.
All headsets, by definition, contain a built-in mic, so that is no big deal. $80 seems a bit high to me, for an unknown (to me) brand at Geeks.com. I noticed that you're in Canada; after shipping and customs, this is going to cost you a lot more than getting a reputable brand at home.

Just my 2 pennies.

Actually, my brother works in Chicago (commutes every week) so I ship the stuff to him and he brings it back. :)
I searched hi and low and couldn't find any info on this brandname. It looks like the BT chip manufacturer (Asia Pacific Microsystems) in Asia is making these. I can buy the HP (Logitech) BT headphones locally for $125CDN + tax but I've heard the mechanical quality isn't too good and the housing cracks after a short time.
So - what's a 'good' price for a decent BT 1.2 stereo headset?
