Sena!
My vote is for the Sena case. There are several reasons for this. The main reason is the magnetic closure. It allows one handed use with the case and is just cooler, to me. Also, Sena offers nicer designs than Piel Frama. For example, my x50v sits in a Black/Red case. Almost daily, I get compliments about it. Also, it's great to be able to sync in the cradle without removing the case. According to other aximsite users, the regular Sena case allows you to use it with the 1800 battery from mugen. To them, it fits great.

The Piel Frama cases are good, but the snap closure turns me off. As for the leather, the Piel probably has a little better quality. However, Sena's is very good. The Piel offers a little more protection around the edges of the bottom of the pda. Sena's case has more exposed bottom corners. Piel's clip is removable whereas Sena's is not. Piel's case offers more card slots. Since Sena's is magentic, it is advisable to not keep cards with magnetic strips on them in the case. As for me, I carry my credit cards separate from my pda.

Both cases are good. It comes down to your personal preferences. Usually, the Piel costs more than the Sena, but not in this instance. So, whichever one you choose, let us know how you like it.

Both my wife and myself use the Piel Frama case with the X50v and highly recommend it. They use extremely high quality materials and their workmanship is second to none. I like the design which protects the corners (most cases leave them exposed) and the fact that since I don't normally use the belt clip I can completely remove it, and put it back on whenever I want using the supplied parts and tool. My wife uses the standard case and I use one for extended battery and both fit like a glove. While the Sena is a high quality case, I prefer the extra protection of the Piel cases. Plus they do offer colors other than basic black if you need a bit more flash.

I own both cases and I have one piece of advice: If you opt for the Sena with the magnetic closure, be VERY careful about putting credit cards and the like near it. I have accidentally "erased" a credit card, parking garage stub, and a hotel pass key at different times just by having them in the same pocket with the case. That's why you will notice that the Piel has true credit card slots, but the Sena doesn't. Whichever you choose, I'm sure you will enjoy it as they are both very fine cases!

You might want to check out this review I wrote.

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/tips...ses-Review.htm

As you can tell by the review, I like them both a lot, but ended up keeping the Sena as my everyday case. I also kept the Magnesium case, too, for hazardous activities.

Piel-Frama for Protection, Sena for Style. That's my 2 cents.

Both are great... Sena allows you to sync in the case -- That gave it the nod for me... I have a Sena for my x50v and for my old iPAQ 2210 -- super cases... (I also have a modified Piel Frama for my 3950 and 3630 iPAQs...)

That is why I picked the Sena as well. I use a Innopocket during the summer and a Sena in the winter.

I have both, The Sena on my Toshiba 805 with 2200 battery, works great. I do find that anytime I use credit card slot, they fall out. I didn't have any problems with the mag strip harming credit cards but didn't put them in that much.

I have the Piel for my X50V and I truly love it. It's quality workmanship and just plain looks better than my Sena.

My 2 Cents.

I use the Piel for extended battery. I use my PDA case as a substitute wallet and was worried about erasing magnetic strips with the magnetic closure of the Sena. I use the travel charger to sync/charge at home and I use the cradle to charge at work. You don't have to remove the unit to use the travel cable, and I don't find it that big of a hassle to push the unit up from the bottom to get it out of the case and on to the cradle at work.

I have the Piel Frama for my X30. I like the features as outlines in post #2 -- the snap closure and removable belt clip were important to me. The black leather is nice ... I wear it on my belt during sales calls. The two-tone looks pretty nice as well. Three slots for business cards, credit cards, etc. Also two SD slots. All the cut-outs at all the right places.

You can sync in the case using the travel charger, but not the cradle .. no big deal for me.

Wow, this is great information folks. I appreciate the feedback each of you have included, especailly where you have noted personal experience.

I'm leaning towards the Piel Frama, but really am looking to simply replace the bulky Belkin case I purchased from Dell. It's the book style, not a flip.

My question is, of the two Piel Frama and the Sena, which is the slimest with only the Axim inserted?

Does any have a Krussell? Can you compare it to either the Piel or Sena?

Thanks.

I'll chime in here with my personal experience with the Sena ... I can't imagine living without the sync-through-case feature. I suppose that would be the biggest deal for me. It's an excellent case overall as well.

I think you'll probably be pleased no matter which you get. Maybe get the Piel, so if you dont like it, you can sell it and get enough for a Sena
