Hey all,
I just got my Axim x50v just over about 2 weeks now and i'm loving it. I had a couple questions. I've read up a lot about the whole power cable and travel cable issues with what works and what doesn't, but I was wondering I got the GPS Navi package so it came with the cig lighter adapter to charge the Axim. I also got the gooseneck holder for the Axim for the GPS, but I've found it too woobly and takes a lot of the bumps pretty bad. I was thinking about mounting a Dell Cradle, but was wondering if the power adapter would be enough to charge it through the cradle. I'm not electronics guru, so I was wondering if anyone out there had tried it out? I was just thinking maybe the cradle need more power or amperage and the cig lighter adapter doesn't give it, but I'm not sure. I'm also thinking about creating a brace for the cradle just so its more stable. Any info would help me out. Thanks!

I was thinking about this solution too.

All the cradles, mount arms that I found are a little bit "bulky".

Beside the problem of power there is another one: how to deal with the USB cable? Must we cut it? Maybe we can open the cradle and desolder the it.

the cradle should take the same amount of power as the axim as long as you are not charging a second battery in the back
