Yesterday, I got out of my car and took my suit jacket when my x50v fell out of the jacket pocket and fell very hard onto the garage floor with a big bang. "Oh no!" I thought. My Axim hit the floor on the worst possible place -- on the bottom corner.

But it was inside my rhinoskin aluminum case! You know, the drop left a small dent on the corner of my case (which I was able to pound back into place), but that thing saved my Axim! The drop didn't break my Axim, nor did any major damage to the case. I am a very happy man and recommend this hard case to anyone!

Nice!! I'm getting a aluminum hard case tommorrow. Before that, my Axim lays safely on desk at home. Just curious, can aluminum case withstand drop like this?

My only beef with the aluminum case is that it's heavy. I guess that is why people are recommending the magnesium case. But as for sturdiness, my accident proved beyond my doubt that it can take the pounding.

The case can, but you still need to be careful as the force of impact could still damage the Axim.
