Lanyard Hook Accessory?
Hello. To reduce the risk of loosing my treasured device, I am looking into somehow putting the, until now, unused lanyard hook to good use. Do you know of any company that would sell something ideal for this situation? If not, how do you use (if you do) your lanyard hook? I'm interested to see any contraptions you people may have come up with to keep your handheld from falling.

Thank you!

---Matt

Don't worry about it, you'll get it. It just takes time to make those cases...

Maggio:
don't worry about ordering stuff from bulldog (or whatever his username is) he seems pretty reliable. Trust me, I wouldn't give bad advice to a fellow new jersian.

You can get lanyards made for cameras or cell phones. I use one for cameras made by Optex with my BT GPS.

I usually find a new lanyard in the box when I get a new cellphone. But I just bought a wrist one from here: link. I think if you use the code 'summer', you get 10% off purchases over $20.

Another idea was to use the lanyard that comes with the Nintendo DS. This lanyard has a special plastic end that is designed to fit over the thumb to act as a thumb stylus. You can get it here: link

Eventually, I should be getting my magnum case. Does anyone know if the lanyard loop is still accessible through the case?

JoeDoe101, yes it has been waaaaaaay to long and I apologize, I will be happy to refund or I can send you a clear cover in addition to the one you ordered. I understand that you are upset with the length of time but I have explained all along what the problems are. That's no excuse for the delay! I just wanted to make sure you knew what happened. I have had sick kids and wife all week so your cover that got lost hasn't been re-made until tonight or tomorrow. As I said you can have a refund and your cover or an extra clear cover. If none of that is acceptable and you still would like to complain then say so and I'll refund your money and not send you a cover.
My goal is to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied, obviously things happen from time to time and I try to make it as right as I can.

As for lanyards...
http://www.mercop.com/mercshop.html
This is a friend of mine that as I do makes stuff on the side to help fund our toys.
They are awesome and I highly recommend them. You can take a very small wire tie and run it through your lanyard hole then attach the lanyard. I've saved my Ax from countless drops because of this!!!!!!!!

really any lanyard will work as long as the end to go through the loop is not to thick. (many camera lanyards will have a thin bit that goes through the hole at the end so that it is easier to feed through small lanyard loops)

No problem like I said, I've said before I try to put out the best product I can and sometimes due to other responsibility's (family) I take way longer than I like and my customers like. I can't apologize enough for that but I do try to make it worth the wait. It will be done and shipping on Monday, tonight I am arranging and organizing orders and I already have first cuts done on everything so I should have them done tomorrow night. Yours will be first to be worked on.

Now back to Lanyard business...

I used a small metal ring but I would recommend a small piece of paracard and use some dental floss to help pull it through.
If nothing else use just some paracord and tie a knot give yourself at least 3-4" of it when tied and you should be good and it will definitely save your Ax!!!!!

I made a lanyard type thing for my stylus(zodiac) from sewing string(forgot the proper name). It's really simple to make and is strong, small(thickness), and reliable. I'll post a pic as soon as I get batteries for my cam.

the only thing is that it's a little fuzzy(the tiny fibers stick out)

JMJSelect, try some dental floss, might work better and last longer without fraying
