While waiting on a x50v I purchased via the classified section, I've been researching cases.

I really want the Innopocket magnesium case. However, if you go the links below you get 2 different results. Is it available or not? Also, is the Proporta case the early version of the Innopocket with the design flaws?

I don't see how the first link makes you think it's in stock since both pages allow you to add the item to cart. And the second link is the detail button from the first link so it doesn't look like a glitch with tht site.

First I ordered my case from aximcases. Then I read some posts that all retailers don't know when or if they will receive more cases. So I try ordering directly from innopocket. My innopocket order is still on hold and aximcases tells me that it'll arrive eventually. I guess I'll cancel from the store that gets it in stock later than the other. If you check aximcases now, they don't even let you order it anymore, which gives me a bad feeling. What's the deal with the manufacturing of these cases? Are they scared that Dell will cancel the x50 and release the x51 with different dimensions?

As for the other case, the first thing I noticed is that it has no reset hole, which is BAD.

Yes, I used one way back when I was too cheap to buy the higher capacity 1.44MB floppies.

The one at Proporta.com is the new version. They have it in stock and you can get a 10% discount by using the code PASSITON10.

I purchased the Magnum case directly from Innopocket. Yep, the website said it was out of stock but an email from them said that it goes in and out of stock occasionally, go ahead and order it and it will show up shortly. I did, it did. Love it!! It does have a reset hole in the back.

I already have 3 cases but I want a slim one which will anable me to carry it in my pocket

I bought my Magnesium Metal Case from Proporta.com and am very happy with it. After a couple of months of rough use I broke the belt clip. I emailed Proporta to see if it was covered by the warranty and in 3 days I had the replacement and a spare by airmail, free!

I have to say that Proporta's customer service and communication is fantastic.

When I bought the case it was out of stock so they sent a free neoprene case to tide me over until the Magnesium Metal Case came in, which was only a couple of weeks more.
