Anything wrong with my Axim X50V or soemthing else? Has anbody else sucess with this / other charging options tried at home EXCEPT DELL or other OFFICALLY sold power accessories for X50V? It doesn't charge even with 5V DC. I have tried and tested this. It charges only with Dell Cradle or Dell Power Plug in my case. I earlies had USB Sync-Charge cable which worked fine till A05 upgrade. Than it never charge although syncs correctly. What I wondered many a times is that if my USB Sync-Charged worked finr earlier why it stopped charging all of a sudden and forever? I inspected connetions and these are all OK. Is there a problem with charging circuit inside my X50v? Has anybody else has problems with USB-Sync-Charger like mine? I tries with USB port of a laptop (powered one) / another laptop / Mains-USB adapter etc and no sucess. No sucess with this 4A4 2100 mAH batteries in series.

Note that the OP used the Dell Power/Sync dongle.
It sounds like you used an aftermarket sync dongle.
Virtually EVERYBODY who has used an aftermarket charge/sync cable has had INCONSISTENT results. The only exception I know about is the Belkin accessory for the X50 series.
The Belkin accessory is either wired differently (supplies power to multiple pins, or its POWER BRICK and CAR ADAPTER supply more amperage than a laptop, computer, or non-Belkin power source.
There is nothing wrong with your Axim. There is probably nothing wrong with your cable. Your cable just supplies voltage to the wrong pin for this homemade power module.
(That is my guess...)
From what I have read, there are different power pins used for charging and syncing and most aftermarket dongles only power the sync pin. This setup is the same as using the Dell power/snyc dongle WITHOUT adding additional power (in which case the Axim will not charge below a certain voltage).
In other words it is not unexpected at all that yours doesn't work. You have triggered an Axim internal logic circuit that will not allow simultaneous charging and syncing, because not enough power is available for both.
Have you tried it with the Dell power/sync cable?
If you dont have the Dell Sync/charge dongle, try this:
-Get your cradle.
-UNPLUG the USB from your PC.
-Plug your homemade device into the cradle charging socket.
-Place your Axim in the cradle.
a) See if it charges.
b) See if it charges while it is running.
