I did a bit of research before purchasing the Mugen over the $10 cheaper one. Both are made in Asia, except the Mugen uses Japanese Li-Ion cells.
Physically they are the same.
Internally however is where the lines get drawn.
The cheaper one uses a standard Li-Ion innerds (per se).
The best Li-Ion is coming from Japan, which holds the charge for longer periods of time with less discharge in use/storage.
So when I read that, and received a phone call from Cases.com, I decided on the Mugen. For the one reason more important. Which Li-Ion holds the charge longer.
Was tempted to go with the cheaper one. However Mugen has been producing batteries for a lot longer then HI-Battery, and they have a reputation as well.
So, bottom line is, if you prefer generic over name-brand.
When it comes to meds, I KNOW that some name-brands are way better then generics. Longevity won over generic.
