Keyboard question

Hi! Is it possible to use a stationary bluetooth keyboard the x50v? I'm buying a wireless keyboard for my PC anyway and are just curious whether it will work with my PDA. Thx!

If you are running WM2003SE, it will work only if you have the proper PPC drivers for it.

Ok and where do i get drivers? Are there any keyboards that are known to work well both for a PPC and a PC?

What about the MICROSOFT WIRELESS OPTICAL DESKTOP 3.0 PS2/USB?

You'd have to get the drivers from the vendor. I'm not sure which keyboards have drivers for both PC and PPC though.

I wouldn't make that kind of assumption without knowing which drivers are available. There are a few old threads that talked about hacking the Think Outside PPC keyboard drivers to work with PC keyboards. If you're into that, that might be an alternative for you.

One other thing to consider: WM5 is supposed to (if I remember correctly) to have some kind of BT profile for keyboards. However, I would be fully aware of the current problems with WM5 before I consider upgrading, especially if all you want is to be able to use a PC keyboard with your X50v.

yeah. Wierd though, that a bluetooth device isn't compatible with a bluetooth keyboard. i mean, how much difference can there be between a keyboard designed for a ppc and an ordinary BT keyboard?

BTW: i can't find where to mail my question on the M$-site :S:S
