best mobile phone for x50v UK?
Hullo
I can't put it off anymore, I've lost my ancient mobile phone and I need to replace it. What, in others opinions, is the best way to go, here in the UK.
It doesn't have to be a fancy phone, the X50V is for all the fancy stuff, just one that will allow me to connect when there's no WiFi about (far too frequently) and send/recieve texts thru the trusty X50V for pose value.
I guess I need to know who offers the best data rates etc.
Any input greatly received.

I got a Motorola V3 to go with my X50v because it's small and I can get internet access via Bluetooth. I'm with Orange UK, the data rates are expensive, but I think everyone is. Just get a data package with a contract as you'll save a bunch (4MB for £4 with the cheapest data packate, or 1MB for £3 with no data package!). It's not a cheap phone but it is very good and very small.

I have a - getting ancient now - SE 610, and it has always worked a treat with my X50v for bluetooth web-browsing.

Yeah, I second the t610. I've upgraded to a k700i a while ago, but they both work great.

Or, upgrading from the K700i, the K750i. Sony Ericsson are probably the best make of phone out there, but if you're not after a good camera-phone, then a lower-end Nokia bluetooth phone would probably do you.
Data rates, as stated above, are broadly the same across the 4 main networks. "3" has some data issues still, so I wouldn't go with them if you're after reliability and coverage. For technical data support, Orange always wins the awards, so I would perhaps go with them. The best bet is to pop into an independent phone shop (Carphone Warehouse, The Link, etc) so you can assess which network, and then which phone, would be right for you.

Hi, I have the X50v and the Motorola E815. They compliment each other quite nicely.

the k750i looks like a good phone but isn't it annoying having yet another memory card format?

Well I've ordered the k750i so should be here in 2-3 days. But my brother phoned to say he found my lost phone. Anyone know what to do with an old nokia no bluetooth, no camera, no nothing. Might make a good doorstop or maybe it.
Anyhoo thanks for the advice people
