Backwards upgrade???

I don't know if this question is asked, but if it is, sorry.

I'm supposed to get the "Free" WM 5.0 Upgrade CD from dell for my x50v. I have read some post where there were negative reviews of wm5.0. After upgrading, and if i don't like it, is it possible to revert back to WM2003? If so, how? Is there a way I can save a ROM image or something like that, before I upgrade?

Prior ROM upgrades saved the old ROM before the upgrade process, but I'm not sure the WM2003 to WM5 will do the same. Good question, as I hope it does.

Hi,
I think this question need to be addressed to DELL tech support.
I'm sure that by now they can supply an answer to that question.
Unfortunately, there is no one at my location that can be answer that question.
