I had a similar message from dell a couple of weeks ago, and sales had no idea of what the upgrade was

maybe this time it will work - let us know if it does

Just had a look and there does not appear to be a link.
Has anybody spoken to customer service again.

Big Smile

I have just tried. Dell UK (India) said you can't order it yet in the UK, but we will be able to in 1 week (no precise date I'm affraid). The lady seemed to know straight away, no asking colleges etc.. Sounding hopefull!

She actually gave the impression that they would have stock in a week, but that I couldn't pre-order. That would tie in with the 15th date that I saw on here yesterday. I guess it could just be wishful thinking though!

My thought so far is don't bother! I have an X51v and an X50v, and it's the 50 that gets used at the moment. The 51 has so many bugs/different ways of working that it's currently unusable for most daily purposes. Activesync 4 is worse than 3.7, but at least it mostly works with the 50. Avantgo is unusable due to no VGA support, and the 51 can't see the Exchange server when connected to the work network either through WiFi or Activesync. It's OK using WiFi from home though!

I'm just glad I've still got the X50v, or it would be back to the Hx4700.

Nick
