More Activesync problems

I have kind of the same problems as a few other people on this forum seem to have had - Activesync simply ignores my X51v.
A network connection is created, but AS won't find the X51.
I'm trying to use USB, I have disabled firewall, virus protection, reset the computer and the Axim, installed AS 4.1. What more could I possibly try?

By reset the PC do you mean reboot. If this is right and after a fresh PC reboot, open ActiveSync (do not put the axim in the cradle yet. Go to File > Delete Partnership. Dock the PDA and see if it is working

No partnership has been set up, since Activesync hasn´t ever found the PDA. I'm going crazy!
