Question on entering data like Contact info?

This has to be a easy answer and I tried looking it up. I know I'm just missing it somewhere so sorry if this seems simple. What my question is this. I have a Dell Axim x50v and I want to enter things like my contacts and stuff. Would be nice if there is a way to type things in on the desktop and send it to the Axim then to have to spell it all out on the Axim. I had a palm at one time and you could do it. Is there a way am I missing something easy?

Why not just put the Axim on the cradle and enter the info via MS OUtlook and allow Activesynch to copy it othe x50v?

I don't know what email software you use--I use Outlook. The info is synched automatically from my contact list. This works either way--whether you enter the contact info in your Axim or your PC.

Of course, if you're like me and *don't* use Outlook, it means you'll have to bite it and use Outlook at least for entering your Contacts easily. I finally did.

I'm still looking at the developers docs to see if I can write something to allow, I don't know, maybe importing Vcards directly or something. But I don't have a lot of free time, so I'm not sure how that's going to work out.

you don't have to use outlook for everything... if it helps you can think of it as 'Windows Mobile Desktop' instead of a big scary email system
