How about you, Louse76, any luck with your Activesync problem?

BTW, I still have Resco Voice Recorder (restored from the backup) so I don't think it is the problem.

Also I thought you couldn't sync anymore with ActiveSync 3.8? Did I remember this wrong? Cause I just tried it and it worked.

It sounds like either the sd card is defective or more likely something you installed to it is the cause of the trouble. I've found that Windoze Mobile 2003 is much more tempermental than the PC versions.

I ran careful experiments to rule out both in my case. I replaced the SD card after copying the data from the old one to no avail. A hard reset cured it. I restored from a full backup taken just before I did the hard reset. I am also now using the original SD card. It is still a mystery what happened.

PS. When i uncheck all of my sync options it syncs just fine. when i check any of them i also get a sync error. If you read some of my other posts you'll see this problem is way to common. :rolling:
hehehe...

and that is why some call it as "ActiveStink"...

the REAL reason may lie in that AS is made by Micro$oft - you'll never know... a really good example is a PERFECTLY working PC (for days on end) suddenly having the BSD (blue Screen of Death)...

or, closer to home, when attachments suddenly dont work in PocketInbox (wherein the only solution that ive found is to DELETE and RE-CREATE all inbox accounts in the PDA)

I am having the exact same problem. I have AS 3.8, Mobile03SE, ROM A05, Plus I have a Lexar SD card (which I don't believe is the issue). I have done a hard reset and restore on my Axim. I have uninistalled and reinstalled Activesync several times and I have even deleted the MSactivsync folder in the programs folder.

Still, no luck. I did a system restore on the PC, which is also a Dell with WinXP Home - no luck. I did another system restore dated even further back. Got everything working until, My system did a Windows update. Now I am back to square one :realmad:

Now I have a total of 17 updates to weed through to determine which one has caused ActiveSTINK to fail.

Has anyone else had these issues or am I the lucky on?

Still no go, tried on my Media Center PC with neither card in unit, same problem...

Worth a try:

A Windows update probably had something to do with security. It may have updated your firewall settings. Make sure that "Activesync application" and "Activesync connection manager" are both included and checked in the firewall exceptions.
