Well I just checked my x50v and could not find the 'welcomehead.191.png' file

Sorry, the unit I have and was speaking of is the X51V.

I checked my X50v (win2k3 SE) and it has welcomehead.192.png, although its not the same as the dell logo seen after doing a softreset, its a "Windows Mobile" logo with a blue background, atleast on mine anyway.

Sorry, I'm running WM6 from MagLite so that might be the reason I don't see it. I'll search elsewhere for it in another folder.

Nah, I knew that file, but that is the windows mobile logo. I had that changed in almost all of my WM6 ROMs.

And it's welcomehead.192.png, not welcomehead.191.png

But, the one I'm talking about is the blue Dell logo at boot. That is the one I'd love to change so that I can leave that new shiny WM6.1 Boot screen afterwards...

I believe that logo is in the boot loader itself, and I dunno if I wanna risk that one, but I'm sure it's possible, and it's probably almost safe since your only replacing a logo in either an exe or a dll more than likely... If anybody has any idea's, please lemme know!
