Change Dell Boot screen?
Is there anyway to change the boot-up screen? Can I replace the Dell picture with a customized one???

just can't take the risk of flushing down 500 bucks for a boot logo change.
although it is appealing.

well, it MIGHT be a risk, but if it doesn't work, why would it turn your pda into a brick? just because it doesn't boot up doesn't mean it can't be reflashed with a safe ROM. If you look with search, there are a BUNCH of threads on how to come back from a bad rom flash....

yah.. just choose to keep your older ROM when given the option. that way you can always revert back to your older ROM.

all u do is replace the dell pic ... its in \windows folder... LOL

its much easier to change the windows mobile screen u just use any image u want and name it welcomehead.192.png

Why bother... you only see it for a few seconds and only when you soft reset. I'm not usually looking at my screen during a soft reset anyway.

lennysh the file name is not boot.bpm but is always named welcomehead.191.png and it is in your windows folder.
